Classroom Rules:
Be safe, be kind, and follow directions.
Consequences: verbal warning, flipping the student's card and missing 5 minutes of recess, student's card is given to the teacher and 1 recess is missed, timeout in a different classroom, and/or meeting with the principal.
Rewards: verbal praise, stickers, tickets for Friday drawing, and special classroom privileges.
Weekly Reports
Weekly Reports are sent home every Friday (My Week at School). The report is designed to keep the parent informed of the child's progress academically and socially throughout the grading period. The report is to be signed and returned to the next school day.
Incomplete Assignments
Students work on incomplete assignments are recess time and during other times in the classroom. Some work maybe sent home to be completed and returned the next day. It will have an "Incomplete Daily Work" stamped.
Homework
There is a homework assignment for each night Monday through Thursday. There is a math packet for the week sent home on the Friday before the week. Students are to complete one side of a sheet of paper each day of the week. There is also a phonics packet, Fundations. Again, students are to complete one side of a sheet of paper each night and follow the directions at the beginning of the packet. Please return the packets at beginning of the following week.
In addition to these daily assignments, students are to read a minimum of 15 minutes a day.
