GPS curriculum is aligned with state standards. Research-based professional development opportunities are provided to teachers and support staff to enhance their instructional skills and practice. Summative and formative assessment programs are in place to guide teacher instruction and prepare students for the state’s standardized tests. GPS is proud to be a leader in the state as evidenced by our AIMS results, indicating the quality of the total K-12 education provided by teachers, administrators and staff. We also recognize and appreciate the high level of parent involvement and educational support our schools receive.
GPS students are provided the opportunity to develop academically and socially to the best of their abilities. To successfully meet the achievement needs of each of our students, Gilbert Public Schools offers Vocational Career and Technical Education programs, Accelerated Learning, Honors/AP, English Language Learning, Intervention and Special Education services in addition to comprehensive programs in Language Arts, Mathematics, Modern Languages, Science, Social Studies, Physical Education, Music and the Arts.
