VISUAL ARTS

The Visual Arts Department at Gilbert High School strives to provide meaningful exposure and acheivement through rigorous curriculum. Students are empowered to make real word connections, problem solve, and create through various media and experiences i classes such as: Art & Design, Broadcasting, Clay, Digital Photography, Metals, New Media, Painting, Traditional Photography, Video Production and a variety of AP and Dual credit coursework.

Visual Arts Club
The purpose of our visual arts clubs is to find students interested in all forms of visual art and give them an opportunity to expand their knowledge of how art functions in society. Our clubs are for those interested in learning about or producing artwork on one's own terms. All skill levels are welcome. You do not have to be enrolled in a visual arts class to participate.

Meeting : Wednesday afternoons from 2:30 - 4:00
Donation : $5 donation is greatly appreciated for art supplies.

Film Club
The Film Club is open to students who are enrolled in the video porduction class. This club regularly documents activites at GHS both on and off campus. The film club assists teachers, club sponsors and coaches create videos that highlight the activities with their students. The film club also participates in the creation of the end-of-the-year video; a compilation video of the current year at Gilbert High School. In addition to that, the film club also gets to visit channel 12 news in phoenix each year in order to experience a live news studio
